Plain-language version: Omarchy stores what it needs to run its features — server settings, moderation history, and Discord IDs — and nothing more. Details below.

What we collect
Omarchy is a Discord bot with a companion web dashboard at this domain. Everything it stores is tied to Discord IDs (server, channel, role and user snowflakes) that Discord itself provides — we don't run separate account signups or collect data outside of Discord.
Through the bot, in servers it's added to
- Server configuration — prefixes, log/welcome/boost channels, anti-nuke and automod settings, jail/verify/ticket/voicemaster setup, custom embeds, autoresponders, sticky messages, and similar settings your staff configure.
- Moderation history — every ban, kick, timeout, warn and jail is stored as a case: the target's and moderator's Discord user IDs, a reason, and a timestamp. This is the whole point of
,modlogs/,case— it's meant to be looked up later. - Passive activity stats — message counts, voice-time seconds, and leveling XP per member, used for the leveling and stats features. Message content isn't stored in the database.
- Username history — past usernames/nicknames we've seen, for the
,nameslookup command. - Other feature data — things like ticket metadata (who opened it, when, case number), invite-tracking (who invited whom), and reaction-role/self-role setups.
Servers using Omarchy
Access to the bot is whitelist-gated. When a server adds Omarchy without prior authorization, we store the server's ID, name, owner ID, and member count to review the request — that's it.
The web dashboard
Logging in uses Discord OAuth2 with the identify scope only — we never request your email, your guild list, or anything beyond your Discord user ID and username. Which servers you can manage is computed by checking your anti-nuke admin/owner status directly, not by asking Discord which servers you're in.
Your session is a signed, http-only cookie containing just your Discord user ID and username — there's no separate session database. The Discord access token from login is used once, to fetch your profile, and is then discarded; it is never stored.
Actions you take on the dashboard (saving settings, moderating a member) go through the exact same code path as the equivalent chat command, and are logged the same way — including to your server's own dashboard activity log, if one is configured.
How it's used
Purely to operate the features you or your server's staff turn on: showing moderation history, enforcing anti-nuke rules, rendering leveling ranks, posting welcome messages, running the dashboard, and so on. We don't use this data for advertising, profiling, or anything unrelated to running the bot.
Retention & deletion
Server and moderation data persists for as long as it's useful to that server — for example, so a ban reason from six months ago is still visible in ,modlogs. Removing Omarchy from your server does not automatically delete its stored data today.
If you want specific data deleted — your warning history, a server's stored settings, anything — ask in the support server and we'll take care of it.
Children's privacy
Omarchy is a moderation/utility tool for Discord servers and isn't directed at children. Discord itself requires users to meet its own minimum age requirement, and we rely on that.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Omarchy after a change means you accept the update.
